Responsibility:· Serve as the technical lead to develop and optimize the source polymers with desired properties, formulate, and optimize compounding process for FlexTouch’s UV curable basecoat.· Execute fundamental mechanism studies on structure-property relationships. Correlate polymer and formulation properties to coating qualities and copper mesh performance, identify parameters that are critical to function based on polymer formulation design. · Collaborate with the coating process and UV exposure engineers to support daily production. · Perform analytical testing, method optimization, and other specialty technologies studies to designs and executes experiments. · Launch new products from conceptualization. · 5~10% domestic and international travel may be required. Requirement:· Master or PhD in Material Science, Polymer Science and Engineering, or related field. Industry experience is highly preferred.· Hands-on experience in polymer formulations in UV curable materials is required. · Experienced in chemical and morphology characterization of photopolymers with in-depth understanding of structure-property relationships is required. · Proven track record of the scale-up and commercialization of UV curable formulation is a plus. · Basic understanding about statistics and experience with data driven decision making are required. · High energy and self-motivated; the candidate must be goal-oriented, creative, and be able to handle multiple tasks. · Good communication skills with vendors and other group members. | ||
Formulation Scientist | Multiple | |
Responsibility:· Serve as the technical lead to develop and optimize FlexTouch’s coating materials including basecoat, palladium colloid solution, and topcoat.· Prepare coating materials for new and existing products, which includes small scale coating and scale up if necessary. · Transfer the formula from lab to production line as well as working with production personnel in scaling up of a product or troubleshooting a production issue. · Provide technical training to engineers and operators to increase the level of expertise of the team. · Perform analytical testing, method optimization, and other specialty technologies studies to designs and executes experiments. · Launch new products from conceptualization. · 5~10% domestic and international travel may be required. Requirement:· Master or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related field. Industry experience is highly preferred.· Strong experience in soft matter science (formulation, colloids, polymers, surfactants) and related characterization techniques. · Knowledge in physics of surfaces, fluids, wetting, and drying phenomena. · Experience in collaboration with fellow scientists/engineers from production, R&D, and other disciplines to advance newly developed processes into commercially viable processes. · Basic understanding about statistics and experience with data driven decision making are required. · Training and certificate in Lean Six Sigma is a plus. · Good verbal and written communication skills in English are required. | ||
Development Chemist | Multiple | |
Responsibility:· Serve as the technical lead for FlexTouch’s wet chemistry process including developing, copper plating, and copper blackening.· Apply broad knowledge in chemistry, materials, and process to support daily production at the wet chemistry line. · Collaborate with other teams on continuous improvement projects to improve production yield. · Participate in root cause analysis and documentation of SOPs. · Lead R&D project to drive improvement in the wet chemistry process. · Provide technical training on wet chemistry to engineers and operators to increase the level of expertise of the team. · 5~10% domestic and international travel may be required. Requirement:· Master or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Industry experience is highly preferred.· In-depth understanding of wet chemistry is required, as demonstrated by course work, research project, or work experience in an industry environment. · Hands-on experience with roll-to-roll manufacturing process is a plus. · Hands-on experience with photoresist developing is plus. · Hands-on experience with electroless copper plating and good understanding of plating mechanism is a plus. · Knowledge and hands-on experience with surface treatment in solution phase is a plus. · Basic understanding about statistics and experience with data driven decision making are required. · Training and certificate in Lean Six Sigma is a plus. · A growth mindset is essential. · Good verbal and written communication skills in English are required. |
